Eurolinx warning Empty Eurolinx warning

Post  inavacuum Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:12 am

I'm not posting this publicly anywhere as I can't prove anything, but it seems Eurolinx is bent. I've been chatting to an ex-employee for a while, someone who contacted me on DC about the possibility of a video while they were in the employ of the site, and it seems they're up to no good in a few ways. The casino software, that I never used, is rigged to the extent that it's been removed from whatever regulatory body it was part of. The poker software is full of holes that make UB/AP look like a shining beacon. Apparently they will also delay large withdrawals and offer the players in question funds which obviously they don't win with and then they keep the wire that they never sent (there's a thread about this on 2+2 but everyone seemed to think the OP was a lunatic/lying/whatever).

As stated, I can't prove any of this, nor have I seen any direct evidence of it and of course the ex employee in question may just be a nutter with an axe to grind, I don't know. Eurolinx has been a good site for me, I've made a decent amount there, but I did sense a few red flags when they took a month to wire me 8k. I personally won't be playing there anymore, and in good faith I can't recommend anyone else does (as I have in the past). You are welcome to forward this info to anyone, but I won't be associating myself with the information within the public domain.

The EL problems seem to be picking up in speed now. What's interesting from that thread is that it seems to be mostly those with 5 figures+ having the problems. I suspect things will only get worse, poor sods.

Wow, they are getting desperate. Got this in my inbox:

Dear Timothy,
Due to certain payment processor issues we encountered within the last months, we experienced some delays when processing withdrawals. I am aware that you have been affected by this problem and I hope you accept our sincere apologies. In addition, I would like to offer you a special bonus as a form of compensation.
Please find a $500 bonus credited to your Eurolinx poker account; these funds are yours to keep and no deposit is required. The only requirement is that you will need to play minimum 6,000 raked hands before being able to withdraw the bonus amount. We will also DOUBLE the bonus if you play another 6,000 raked hands after clearing the first $500!
Furthermore, I have a brilliant rakeback deal to offer you which opens at 50% over a 3 month period. Please contact me via MSN (vipeurolinx@hotmail.com) or Skype (eurolinxjackie) so that I can provide you with further details, terms & conditions.
I hope that you can accept this offer as compensation for your delayed withdrawal and as a gesture of good will from Eurolinx. Please make sure to contact me to for more information and to confirm this offer!

And it's only getting worse, this from RakeTheRake:

Dear Player

As you may or may not be aware, Eurolinx/BetOnBet have been having troubles with their payment processing for people requesting withdrawals. In addition they are behind in their financial obligation to us and there are still a large number of outstanding payments due to all players (not just RTR) which we understand that they are working their way through.

We have managed to help a number of you by expediting your request to them and some of you have at least received partial payments, so we are glad for that. They continue to reassure us that these issues will be dealt with, and we have no particular reason currently to doubt them.

As a precaution we have temporarily taken down the Eurolinx and BetOnBet pages on our site. This is to prevent new people from signing up while the problems continue.

Ouch.

MALTA – The Linx Media Group has today announced that it is seeking to put its businesses into liquidation and will cease trading with immediate effect.

As yet, the Linx Media Group does not know how long this process will take, but it will provide updates on the situation as and when information becomes available and when liquidators are appointed.

A company spokesperson from the Linx Media Group stated: “It is with great regret that we make this announcement. I appreciate the concern and frustration that this will inflict on the Eurolinx, BetOnBet, and Linx Casino player community. Affected account holders are those individuals who have agreed to a contractual relationship with the Linx Media Group through Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino. All available player funds are held by these businesses. As soon as we have information on how to lodge claims with the liquidators, we will communicate this via www.eurolinx.com, www.BetOnBet.com and www.linxcasino.com.”
